Mini Mochi Rainbow.

I had so much fun with this scarf and it was an easy pattern it just took forever!  The pattern says to block one finished but I found that I liked how it naturally rolled into a rainbow "rope".  My only complaint is that the first ball of yarn had inconsistencies such as an abrupt change with the dye and it was not one solid piece of yarn it was 2 tied together..hmmmmm.  The second ball of yarn was perfect.....but no matter, it is still such an awesome yarn and I recommend this to everyone!

Materials:
1 ball Crystal Palace Mini Mochi (50 grams/195 yards)  I used 2 balls to obtain a scarf 8' in length.
(sample shown was knit in color #101 'intense rainbow')
Crystal Palace Bamboo Size 5 or 6 needles or size needed to obtain desired fabric
(if you tend to knit tightly, use size 6)

Finished size: 4” X 55” (or use 2 balls for an extra long scarf)
Gauge: 14 sts = 2 inches in Beaded Rib St

Abbreviations:
k - knit, p - purl

Instructions:
Cast on 29 stitches loosely. Knit 2 rows
Note: the outer 3 sts are always knit (=garter stitch border) to help keep edges of scarf from rolling.
Work in Beaded Rib Stitch.

Beaded Rib Stitch:
Row 1: K3, *k1, p1*, repeat across row, ending with K1, K3.
[K3 for garter edge at both ends of Row 1]
Row 2: K all sts

Repeat these 2 rows until almost out of yarn.
End with a Row 2.
K 2 more rows.
Bind off loosely.

Wet scarf in warm water, roll in big towel and lay flat to dry. Block flat at approx. 4 inches width.
